James Champlin, Attorney
James Champlin has been a practicing attorney since 2012. After graduating from Notre Dame Law School and joining the Illinois Bar, James worked at the Cook County Domestic Violence Courthouse helping men and women seeking to escape abusive relationships and protect their families. After moving to Georgia to be closer to family, James spent two years working as a public defender before joining Modern Estate Planning as an associate attorney. His current practice centers in the areas of estate planning and probate law, where he strives to treat his clients with honesty, empathy, and respect as they navigate the legal system.
In his free time, you can usually find James reading, tackling a crossword puzzle, or puttering around the house looking for a project to tinker with. He’s a budding amateur woodworker and coffee snob who only drinks it black and won’t apologize for it, and he has strong opinions about the current issues surrounding bourbon price inflation.
